Cinemas around Leeds

Cineworld

Dewsbury Rd, Leeds LS11 8LU, UK – 0333 003 3444

This cinema is great for visits with kids. The screens are all a decent size and the seats are comfortable and spacious. I like that the wheelchair spaces are up at the back of the cinema so wheelchair users don't have to suffer a bad experience sitting at the bottom of the screen. The seating is such that both kids and adults seem to be able to get comfortable unlike a certain deluxe cinema where the seats are too big for small kids!

Went with my wife to watch Mama Mia! It was great. The snacks were nice and we got the popcorn and large drink deal each for 8.50. Inside the screen we were treated to reclining leather seats. The screen was suitably air conditioned and the audio was superb and surround sound.

Theatres for Leeds

Slung Low's HUB (Holbeck Underground Ballroom)

67-71 Bath Rd, Leeds LS11 9UA, UK

Very quirky. A cool respite from the hot sun.

An odd little place tucked away where you wouldn't quite think to look. When I was at Leeds College of Art one of my tutors suggested visiting it to see a production- and it was great! The HUB provides a uniquely macabre setting, and if I'm ever in Leeds again, I'll check back and see what's on.
